Abstract

The Electrochemically Stimulated Conformational Relaxation (ESCR) model has been applied to simulate voltammetric responses of polypyrrole films previously submitted to high cathodic potentials for long times. Large anodic oxidation overpotentials (>200 mV) and fast switching rates, linked to a strong compactation of the polymeric structure by cathodic polarization, are predicted by the model fitting experimental results.
