Abstract

The steric structure of four 2-hydro-2-oxo(thio)-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinane (DOP) molecules has been studied by means of Raman and IR spectroscopy. A characteristic feature of these compounds is the presence of a hydrogen atom as a "light" exocyclic substituent whose vibration is not mixed with the vibrations of the molecular skeleton.
