Abstract

The study has comprehensively researched based on China Statistical Yearbook of Chinese from year 1998 to 2012 and relevant data concerning the education of Chinese medicine colleges and universities comprehensively. The analysis shows that the structure of teachers of colleges and universities of Chinese medicine is reasonably increasing, and the quality of teachers has improved gradually, thus has gradually formed a reasonable echelon of old, young teachers with senior teachers and graduate education teachers as the main staff. But the total amount of teachers in colleges and universities of Chinese medicine is relatively insufficient, the ratio of students to teachers is increasing year by year, and teachers' work load is bigger. We should scientifically plan the reasonable scale of the teachers in colleges and universities of Chinese medicine, optimize the structure of the teachers and improve the quality of TCM education.
