Abstract
in the quartz and calcite–quartz veins as unevenly dis tributed disseminations, veinlets, and pockets. The total abundance of sulfides in the veins is no higher than 2– 3 vol %. The quartz veins with sulfide mineralization are controlled by tectonic zones of northwestern and sub latitudinal trends promising in terms of Au, Ag, Cu, Pb, and W mineralization. We supposed that the mineralization is genetically related to the granites of the Il’yaz and Man’khambo massifs. According to some authors [1, 2], the two gran itoid massifs are eroded fragments of a single batholith traced by gravity surveys to a depth of 6 km and showing both intrusive and tectonic contacts with the country rocks. Within this model, the mineralization is probably confined to the hanging wall of the granite batholith,
