Abstract
ABSTRACT Fault-tolerant systems are needed for reliable operation in the presence of faults. The concurrent error repairable adder can itself repair the faults which are present in the circuit. In this paper, two new concurrent error repairable carry select adders (CSLAs) are proposed. The proposed concurrent error repairable CSLA I detects and repairs the faults in the circuit. To give the exact location of the fault, CSLA II is proposed. The proposed concurrent error repairable CSLA II gives the bit position of the fault along with the detection and repairing of faults. It takes less delay, area and power compared to that of the proposed CSLA I. The proposed concurrent error repairable CSLAs are simulated using the NCLaunch tool. Simulation results show that the proposed designs are 100% error recoverable.
