Abstract
The orientation distribution function for rigid ellipsoids suspended in a fluid undergoing steady, simple shear flow is obtained in the form of a series of generalized spherical functions, the variables being the three Euler angles. The coefficients in this sories are expressed in the Feenberg perturbation form. The result is extended formally to other particles with three mutually perpendicular planes of symmetry.
