Abstract

The formation of the humanitarian culture of future foreign language teachers, displayed in the orientation to humanistic principles, the desire for knowledge, the disclosure of essential potential and spiritual improvement, is a key personally developing attitude of their foreign language education. The purpose of the article: scientific substantiation and structuring of the humanitarian culture of future foreign language teachers, revealing the essence of its structural components. Methods applied: analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on the research topic; abstraction, systematization, comparison and juxtaposition, theoretical analysis and generalization of data from scientific and methodological literature regarding the study of the scientific fund; inductive-deductive methods, generalization to determine the structure of the humanitarian culture of future foreign language teachers, revealing the essential characteristics of the studied pedagogical phenomenon, its regularities, functioning and development. Taking into account the complex nature of the humanitarian culture of future foreign language teachers, we define its structural components: axiological (a set of value orientations, views, beliefs, worldview, interests, professional aspirations), cognitive (linguistic knowledge and corresponding skills related to lexical, phonetic, grammatical aspects of a foreign language), intersocial (combination of integral, humanistic (intersocial) skills, intersocial orientation of students' scientific outlook); reflective (critical thinking in the process of learning a foreign language, reflective culture of future foreign language teachers and creative activity and readiness for innovative activity, independent creative position, striving for creative self-improvement). Prospects for the research: theoretical substantiation of pedagogical conditions for the formation of the humanitarian culture of future foreign language teachers.
