Abstract
Single crystals of dilute Moch.p (∼0.04 at % C)-Ru alloys grow in a wide concentration range (up to 3.5 at % Ru) in the [100] direction, and their single-crystal growth under the same conditions in the [110] direction is violated at a concentration of 0.4 at % Ru. The structural perfection of the single crystals (angular misorientation) changes nonmonotonically with the concentration, and it is characterized by the existence of two minima for the [100] direction and one (∼0.15 at % Ru) for the [110] direction. The nature of these effects is explained.
