Abstract
The authors apply the concatenation technique to Hadamard codes for spread spectrum applications. It is shown that with a properly designed concatenation scheme, the BER performance of 10–3 typically required by mobile speech services can be achieved at a signal-to-noise ratio of 0.5 dB using a short interleaver length of only 198 bits.
