Abstract

This article aims to bring reflection on the importance of communication in conflict management, and the necessary communicative skills that advocacy professionals need to develop. First, a presentation of Non-Violent Communication (NVC) and its fundamentals will be made, then the dynamics the field of conflict management has been presenting, and the role of communication in the management of conflicts will be briefly discussed. Finally, the contributions of the NVC to the legal profession will be presented. This article reinforces that a change in the lawyer’s communication model is necessary, so that they can adapt to the new model of conflict management under construction, as well as provide greater results in his professional practice. The methodology used was the bibliographic research, and the approach, deductive.
