Abstract

Earlier work focused on the computation of isolating blocks around the libration points in the circular restricted three-body problem and the use of these isolating blocks to compute the stable and unstable asymptotic sets of the isolated invariant set around the libration points. In this study, the isolated invariant set, or the invariant three-sphere of solutions, is studied using the asymptotic approaches of the stable manifold to the periodic and quasiperiodic orbits contained within the invariant three-sphere. A new bisection method is used to compute trajectories that follow the invariant three-sphere and study these trajectories in more detail.
