Abstract

In this wide ranging paper on CAD in an electronic engineering degree course the author covers many aspects of interest to educationalists. Course curricula are of interest to many people, as is the balance between the level of application of computers and computing technology. The problems of facilities are again of concern as well as the cost of providing systems and the problems of training to use systems. What industry expects graduates to know about CADCAM is of concern to all. The author has some very clear views of what he is trying to give his undergraduates in this respect. The need for constant re-evaluation of systems and materials is yet again brought out by this author.
