Abstract

The Metropolitan Community Colleges, with the advisement of local business and industry, have implemented a thirty-hour certificate program in Computer Support Technology. The Association for Computing Machinery curriculum guide for two-year colleges in the area of Computer Support Services served as a basis for this development. This certificate program requires a combination of business and technical courses to prepare graduates to work as an entry-level computer technician or help-desk/support person.
