Abstract

There is a never ending growth toward automation in industrial circles, specially in the Auto industries. As more and more digital Electronics are introduced to vehicles, the probability of malfunctioning and failure also increasing. In this paper the idea of error correcting code which is used in military communication circles and the Satellite industry is proposed for the Automobile industry. A simulation of the system is performed first in high level language, and then in machine language to test the performance in real time. The system is based on extended Hamming code for correction and defection of the errors. Finally the interlaced codes is adapted for correcting burst errors. The result of simulation shows a promising reliable computer communications in cars.
