Abstract

Calculated weighted oscillator strengths are tabulated for spectral lines of Fe III, Fe IV, Fe V, and Fe VI. The lines belong to transition arrays 3 d 6-3 d 54 p and 3 d 54 s-3 d 54 p in Fe III, 3 d 5-3 d 44 p and 3 d 44 s-3 d 44 p in Fe IV, 3 d 4-3 d 34 p and 3 d 34 s-3 d 34 p in Fe V, and 3 d 3-3 d 24 p and 3 d 24 s-3 d 24 p in Fe VI. For the calculations, Slater parameters are optimized on the basis of minimizing the discrepancies between observed and computed wavelengths. Configuration interaction was included among the 3 d n , 3 d n−1 4 s, 3 d n−2 4 s 2, 3 d n−1 4 d, and 3 d n−1 5 s even configurations and among the 3 d n−1 4 p, 3 d n−2 4 s4 p, and 3 d n−1 5 p odd configurations, with 3 p 53 d n+1 added for Fe VI. Calculated wavelengths are compared with observational data, and the compositions of energy levels are listed. This completes a series of similar computations for these complex configurations covering Fe I to Fe VI.
