Abstract

Models of thermal and mechanical contacts of ceramic and metal parts in lock joints of turbines of aircraft gas turbine engines have been developed which take account of the character of operating loads in them. Experimental data on the strength and thermal conductance of a ceramics–metal contact joint have been presented. The investigations were carried out with ceramic specimens based on hot-pressed silicon nitride and silicon carbide reinforced with diamond particles.
