Abstract

The present work discusses the possible impacts on the sugarcane production area due to the agreement signed at COP21. Energy Security is probably the biggest challenge of our century, mainly because we need clean energy. And this is one of the strongest characteristics of the Brazilian sugarenergy sector, which is largely responsible to produce bioelectricity and, mainly, biofuel, in addition to also producing sugar and other products. Through the analysis of the capacity of sugarcane production facilities, possible cases of increase in area, production, and productivity will be discussed to meet the official commitments assumed at COP21Key-words: rural administration, coffee, management, rural organization.
