Abstract

AbstractThis paper applies principal component analysis method and selects six key indicators, aiming to establish a comprehensive evaluation index system for water flooding development effect in overseas oilfields. Radar Chart is introduced for the evaluation of oil development through water flooding and four typical models are derived to directly evaluate the effect of water flooding in a qualitative way, and moreover, to find out countermeasures quickly. The evaluation result using traditional Radar Chart may vary with same data. For this reason, this paper comes up with the improved Radar Chart which can simultaneously evaluate water flooding in multiple oilfields in a quantitative way by calculating the evaluation functions. It is proved that the quantitative analysis is aligned with the qualitative way in terms of evaluation results and the improved method can be used as a comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate water flooding effect in oilfields.KeywordsOverseas oilfieldWater flooding effectIndex selectionRadar chartQualitative evaluationQuantitative and comprehensive evaluation
