Abstract

AbstractIn the middle and late stages of oilfield development, the water flooding situation is becoming more severe, the effect of workover is getting worse, and the difficulty of optimizing workover is gradually increasing. Also, overseas oilfields have the particularity of high cost and rather lean workover options in workover, which brings huge challenges to the production increase and stability. This paper establishes a comprehensive evaluation and optimization method for the effectiveness of workover for overseas oil fields. First, establish an economic evaluation model which is suitable for overseas oilfields, carry out a comprehensive technical and economic evaluation for the implemented workover, determine key indicators such as economic efficiency, minimum economic oil increase, and input-output ratio, and guide the selection and optimization of new workover. Then based on the remaining oil distribution and production performance, the combination of reservoir engineering and numerical simulation methods is used to optimize and predict the effect, evaluate the economic benefits of the workover. Finally obtain the best economic and effective workover. This method is applied to F oilfield, a large overseas oilfield and achieves good results. The optimization workovers are 59 wells, the single well output-input ratio is 3.34, and the average single well workover income increased by above 0.2 million US dollars.KeywordsReservoir engineerWorkover optimizationEconomic evaluationProduction performance
