Abstract

Diagnosis of fatigue in workers of visually intense work is an urgent problem, since their number is steadily increasing. A comprehensive technique has been developed, consisting of questionnaires with a point system for assessing the severity of symptoms, which is intended for the diagnosis and individual monitoring of fatigue of workers of visually intense work. The most common signs of fatigue in workers of visually intense work is a symptom complex, disturbances in accommodation, headaches, and visual impairment. A computer program for analyzing the blinking frequency has been developed, which is an objective, sensitive method for diagnosing and monitoring fatigue in workers of visually intense work. The compensatory stage is characterized by transient changes in visual functions and the rapid elimination of symptoms during rest. With subcompensation, preventive and therapeutic measures are required. Signs of decompensation are persistent changes in visual functions, which lead to the formation of refractive and accommodation disorders, which are the cause of partial disability.
