Abstract

The study of fatigue strength is of great significance in all fields. In fatigue design, converting the nominal strength of the material into the fatigue strength of specific parts in the working environment is an unavoidable problem in mechanical design. Therefore, it is very important to study the influencing factors of the fatigue strength of parts and how to correct these influencing factors to obtain the fatigue strength of parts. This paper conducts a more systematic study on the fatigue strength of mechanical parts. The effect of the interaction between stress concentration, surface processing, and size effect on fatigue strength is mainly analyzed. A more reliable comprehensive correction coefficient of fatigue strength is proposed, the existing comprehensive coefficient of fatigue strength is compared and analyzed, and the sensitivity of the proposed comprehensive correction coefficient of fatigue strength to stress concentration, surface processing, and size effect is analyzed experimentally. Finally, the proposed comprehensive correction coefficient of fatigue strength is relatively stable and can be applied to mechanical design.
