Abstract

The potential of a combination of optical diagnostic tools is demonstrated for the characterization of a sooting laminar methane diffusion flame. Time‐resolved laser‐induced incandescence, Rotational CARS spectroscopy, spontaneous Raman scattering, and the laser‐induced fluorescence technique have been applied to measure the soot primary particle size and volume concentrations and the concentration of species in the surrounding gas.
