Abstract

Positron lifetimes are studied in the phase-separating Li 2OSiO 2 glass system as a function of molar composition. The intensity of the longest lifetime is found to be proportional to the amount of the silica-rich phase. The crystallization of the lithia-rich phase affects mainly the intensity of the intermediate lifetime.
