Abstract
In this study, electric field analysis is made in spherical electrode systems under different properties composite voltages. Composite voltages are obtained by superposition of positive and negative lighting impulse voltage with -DC and +DC voltage for different combinations. Peak value of lighting impulse voltage and value of direct current voltage are 57 kV and 3 kV, respectively, In this study, lighting impulse generator is designed to generate lighting voltage component of the composite voltage. In the design, it has been used component values of impulse voltage generator in ITU Maslak High Voltage laboratory. As a result of this study, it is seen that electric field intensity exceeded dielectric strength of air when +DC voltage with positive lighting impulse voltage and -DC voltage with negative lighting impulse voltage are superposed.
