Abstract
Based on the energy and resources wasted in urban traffic congestion, as well as the strategic goals of energy saving, emission reduction, and sustainable development are constantly being valued. This paper proposes the P-ESSD for vehicle monitoring. The PEH and the EMH are combined as self-powered and self-sensing modules in this device. The PEH is used to supply energy to the EMH for the wireless transmission of self-sensing signals. The influence of the rectangular magnet in PEH, the coil and the cylindrical magnet in EMH on the output performance of the prototype is studied. Under the optimal parameter conditions of prototype assembly, the maximum output voltage of PEH is 60.62 Vpp, and the maximum output voltage of EMH is 3.81 Vpp. The ability of simultaneously self-power supply and self-sensing was verified with eight prototype arrays installed into the deceleration belt and tested on the actual road.
