Abstract

Karate-Do is a martial art and it needs the explosive force that allows the execution of most of the movements of the karatecas, this must be trained because explosive actions are carried out in Kumite (hand-to-hand combat) and in kata (imaginary combat). This article aims to assess the behavior of explosive force in karate men of the 11-12 year old category in Cienfuegos. Different methods were applied, including statistical-mathematical and document analysis, with the revision of the Karate-Do Athlete's Comprehensive Preparation Program. Two measurements related to the behavior of the explosive force were carried out, through the variables: offensive and defensive movements, tractions and plates, this allowed to improve the sporting results in athletes of that category, expressed in higher indexes of the explosive force.
