Abstract Various interstellar lines toward Epsilon Persei and Delta Persei have been analyzed using a procedure intended to give hydrogen column densities as a function of velocity for each line of sight. For each star one dominant velocity component is found which has a velocity near zero in the local standard of rest, a large depletion of Ca and Ti, a low molecular hydrogen excitation temperature, and a large hydrogen volume density. Both stars have several other velocity components, which, relative to the dominant component, have higher LSR velocities and less Ca and Ti depletion. One component toward each star is probably composed mostly of ionized material. The electron density appears to be about 0.01 per cu cm, approximately independent of velocity. Cloud-to-cloud abundance fluctuations of a factor about five are found.
