An analysis of the results indicates that diverticulum formation is a significant complication of the operation, having been encountered in 17 per cent of the cases. This complication did not affect the reliability of the operation in regard to reflux prevention, with an over-all success rate of 98.7 per cent. © 1982 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByCAIONE P, CAPOZZA N, ASILI L, LAIS A and MATARAZZO E (2018) IS PRIMARY OBSTRUCTIVE MEGAURETER REPAIR AT RISK FOR CONTRALATERAL REFLUX?Journal of Urology, VOL. 164, NO. 3 Part 2, (1061-1063), Online publication date: 1-Sep-2000.McCool A, Perez L and Joseph D (2018) Contralateral Vesicoureteral Reflux After Simple and Tapered Unilateral Ureteroneocystostomy RevisitedJournal of Urology, VOL. 158, NO. 3, (1219-1220), Online publication date: 1-Sep-1997.Caione P, Capozza N, Lais A, Nappo S, Matarazzo E and Ferro F (2018) Contralateral Ureteral Meatal Advancement in Unilateral Antireflux SurgeryJournal of Urology, VOL. 158, NO. 3, (1216-1218), Online publication date: 1-Sep-1997.Diamond D, Rabinowitz R, Hoenig D and Caldamone A (2018) The Mechanism of New Onset Contralateral Reflux Following Unilateral UreteroneocystostomyJournal of Urology, VOL. 156, NO. 2S, (665-667), Online publication date: 1-Aug-1996.Hoenig D, Diamond D, Rabinowitz R and Caldamone A (2018) Contralateral Reflux after Unilateral Ureteral ReimplantationJournal of Urology, VOL. 156, NO. 1, (196-197), Online publication date: 1-Jul-1996.Ahmed S and Boucaut H (2018) Vesicoureteral Reflux in Complete Ureteral Duplication: Surgical OptionsJournal of Urology, VOL. 140, NO. 5 Part 2, (1092-1094), Online publication date: 1-Nov-1988.Mesrobian H, Kramer S and Keialis P (2018) Reoperative Ureteroneocystostomy: Review of 69 PatientsJournal of Urology, VOL. 133, NO. 3, (388-390), Online publication date: 1-Mar-1985.Ahmed S (2018) Application of the Pull-Through Technique of Transverse Advancement Ureteral ReimplantationJournal of Urology, VOL. 129, NO. 4, (787-791), Online publication date: 1-Apr-1983.Duckett J (2018) Editorial CommentJournal of Urology, VOL. 129, NO. 4, (791-791), Online publication date: 1-Apr-1983.
