Abstract
Various studies have been carried out in the field of Tamil studies on ancient Tamil agriculture and technology. It is natural for today's studies to embed postmodernism and Marxist principles in any theory. In this way, this article has studied the generation of the raw material (land) for the agriculture of farmers, a gradual transition of civilizational development, statehood, proprietary, labour of the farmers due to water distribution doctrines of ruling class, revolts of the farmers when they were subjected to exploitation, Sangam literature, inscriptional evidences, similar issues that are reflected in the contemporary modern literature based on the studies of the scholars, vocational problems of contemporary farmers comparatively in addition to the research of the culture of the people who adhere to the culture built by the society.
