Abstract
Chromatin remodeling and transcriptional reprogramming are key mechanisms through which plants respond to environmental challenges. Nucleosomal dynamics associated with the presence/absence (incorporation/eviction) of the histone variant H2A.Z is one of the key chromatin remodeling mechanisms associated with environmental response (Coleman-Derr and Zilberman, 2012). Very recently, some excellent papers (Shang et al., 2021; Willige et al., 2021; Xue et al., 2021) have addressed the role of a less-explored component of this chromatin remodeling—the INO80 complex.
