Abstract

By the methods of IR, Raman, 13C, 23Na and 7Li spectroscopy, wide-angle X-ray scattering and viscosimetry, the interaction of PEG of various molecular mass with alkali metal and ammonium thiocyanates was investigated. The effect of cation nature and size on the complex forming reaction was established. The role of the rhodanide anion in the formation of molecular complexes is discussed.
