Abstract

This study presents an assessment of the displacements of the Earth’s crust generated by two earthquakes: one in Croatia on 29th December 2020 and one in Greece on 3rd March 2021. The main data source is SAR satellite images from Sentinel-1A and B (ascending and descending orbits) in the form of images of the amplitude and phase signals. The data is processed via SNAP software package. The results are obtained applying the differential radar interferometry method (DInSAR). The Line of Sight (LoS) displacements are converted into vertical displacements and compared with modeled deformations of the Earth’s surface using rectangle finite source model proposed by Okada.
