Complex Air Pollution in China

Abstract

China's rapid economic booming up has introduced compressive human actives which improved the material wealth and a higher standard of living for people in couple decades since the early 1980s. The changes in such a short time also caused severe environmental pollution, particularly air pollution. In this article, we reviewed the recent published scientific papers on the topic of air pollution in China, gave a brief introduction to the complex air pollution in China in seven subsections: Chinese understanding on air pollution: from ancient to present, China's development and air pollution, Overview of China's air pollution in the world, Current status, changes and potential impact of China's PM2.5pollution, More than PM2.5: multicontaminant air pollution in China, Trade-off between urbanization and air pollution, and The actions that China takes on improving air quality. Hope after reading this article, readers could easily understand the general air quality and its change in China.
