Abstract
We study non-negative solutions of the elliptic inequalities ∑ i , j = 1 n a ij ( x ) ∂ 2 u ∂ x i ∂ x j + ∑ i = 1 n b i ( x ) ∂ u ∂ x i ⩾ F ( x , u ) in Ω , where Ω ≠ 0 is an open subset of R n , n ⩾ 2 , and F : Ω × [ 0 , ∞ ) → [ 0 , ∞ ) is some function. In particular, the influence of the geometric properties of Ω in the behavior of solutions is investigated.
