Abstract

In this paper, phase-shifted pulse width modulation full bridge topologies which are capable of switching at zero voltage are evaluated. Eight examples of these topologies have been studied in detail and compared in different aspects. After a detailed investigation, it has been decided to use zero voltage switching with current doubler and synchronous rectifier phase-shifted pulse width modulation full bridge converter (ZVS-CD-SR-PS-PWM-FB). This converter can be used especially for more load current demand and more compact power supply applications. This topology was analyzed in detail, the design was performed, simulation work was carried out and finally it was tested in detail in the laboratory. The performance of the proposed converter was verified on a 400 W DC-DC converter operating at 100 kHz from 270 VDC input voltage.
