Abstract
Three serologic tests have been used for detecting antibodies to Mycoplasma gallisepticum in chicken and turkey sera. Adler and DaMassa (2) recently developed an antiglobulin (AG) procedure that was more sensitive than the agglutination test in measuring M. gallisepticum agglutinins. They did not, however, compare the sensitivity of the AG test with the hemagglutination-inhibition procedure currently used as the confirmatory test. The present communication compares tube agglutination, hemagglutination-inhibition, and antiglobulin tests on chicken and turkey serums from birds infected with M. gallisepticum.
