Comparison of treatment efficiency between holmium laser enucleation of the prostate, transurethral partly resection of prostate and transurethral plasmakinetic resection of prostate

Abstract

Objective To compare and study the treatment efficiency between HoLEP, TURP and PKRP. Methods Retrospective analysis was made on the clinical data of 247 BPH patientsunderwent operation from February 2016 to November 2017.Eighty-six cases underwent TURP, 104 cases underwent PKRP, and 57 cases underwent HoLEP.The operation time, bleeding volume during operation, hospitalization stay after operation, catheterization time were compared between the three groups. Results All 247 surgery were successfully performed. The operation time of HoLEP group were significantly longer than TURP and PKRP group(P 0.05). The IPSS、QOL、Qmax after operation of three groups were significantly better than pre-operation(P 0.05). Conclusions HoLEP has similar short-time curative effect with TURP and PKRP for BPH, but HoLEP has fewer bleeding and faster recovery than TURP and PKRP.
