Abstract

Objective To investigate the application of hysterosalpingography (HSG) and hysteroscopy in fallopian tube patency check for infertile women.Methods A retrospective analysis of 207 infertility patients underwent HSG and laparoscopy was made and the test results were compared.Results Total conincidence rate of HSG and laparoscopy in the diagnosis of tubal infertility was 72.9%,HSG had some false positives,laparoscopy can be used for accurately diagnosing other pelvic diseases and operation treatment.Conclusions HSG and laparoscopy have their own advantages and disadvantages,HSG can better reflect the panorama of uterus and the obstruction,site of fallopian tube,is the preferred method for fallopian tube patency check in infertile women,which can be used before laparoscopy for the screening,the patients with abnormal HSG results shouldbe timely given laparoscopy for diagnosis and treatment,the combined use of HSG and laparoscopy is the best method for the diagnosis of tubal infertility.
