Abstract
In making an investigation of certain soils in western Kansas, calcium content was determined using Morgan's method(2' for available calcium and also using the ammonium chloride exchange method of the Association of Official Agricultural Chemists(1). This latter method will be designated by A.O.A.C. The determinations indicated two things: first, that the calcium content of the soils studied varied greatly with depth, and second, that Morgan's method as prescribed in the literature showed marked differences in calcium from that obtained by the tentative method specified by the A.O.A.C.
