Abstract

We compare 3rd-order gradiometers (3rdG) and Signal Space Separation (SSS) noise cancellation methods for MEG. We show that the 3rdGs provide better noise suppression for sources outside the shielded rooms while the SSS provides better suppression of near sources within the shielded room.
