Abstract

This study is concerned with the unifying evaluation between rotating bending and push-pull fatigue strength in low cycle region by using plain and notched specimens of structural steels. Though the rotating bending fatigue strength was remarkably higher than push-pull one in the case of the expression by nominal stress, fatigue properties of rotating bending show good agreement with those of push-pull about not only plain specimen but also notched one by re-arranging the plastic strain amplitude at the surface of specimens.
