Abstract
The aim of this research is to compare the service unit costs of the family physician plans at the medical and health centers of Ghorveh. The methodology is an applied semi-empirical (pre-and post-implementation) study. Fifteen medical and health centers of Ghorveh were included in this study. The data was collect collected by review of available statistical forms. Results suggested the time spent in 2005 was 371,939 minutes (~ 6,199 hours) and the service unit performed was 107,707 service units. Payments to physicians in 2005 stood at 444,448,079 Rials (~ $15 million US dollars).
