Abstract

Educational leadership plays a significant role in each educational organization and profession for the operations. Different cultures and values lead to various educational leadership styles. This study analyzes Chinese and the United States educational leadership styles and explores their similarities and differences. Specifically, reviewing relevant literature from several data bases helps us to understand Chinese and U.S. educational leadership styles in different aspects, including cultures and values, characteristics, and development trends and challenges. Then, this study compares these two educational leadership styles’ commonalities and differences. Through such an analysis, the study provides a view of two different educational leadership styles, and it could help better understand Chinese and U.S. educational leadership preferences for future schools' reform and development.
