Abstract

Post insulator is one of the key electrical components of DC GIL, which supports the central conductor and electrical insulation. The design of a safe, stable and reliable post insulator structure is related to the overall safety of the transmission system. In order to optimize the electrical and mechanical properties of single post insulator in UHVDC GIS, based on the finite element calculation method, a three-dimensional finite element simulation model of post insulator is established, and the electrical and mechanical properties of three kinds of post insulators with different structures are verified. The results show that the distribution of electric field and stress field on the surface of post insulator low-voltage end insert is relatively concentrated, and the maximum value of electric field and stress field of insulator appears at the gap of umbrella skirt; During the structural design, the surface of low-voltage end insert and the structure of insulator shed should be paid more attention.
