Abstract

A key problem of identifying what cultural diversity will influence user actions is presented in this paper. Through comparative cultural diversity analysis, the difference of preference in perceptions of information display scheme between two cultural groups, where is Japanese and Indonesian are the subjects of the comparison is discussed. Even though the social background and historical context of the societies in question are not so different and share some similarities, further experiments and analysis on preference, performance and another usability elements revealed some differences between them.
