Abstract

Nano concrete is the new technology used in the material to produce highly dense and high performance concrete to withstand maximum load using nano sized materials in the concrete. Making of ultra fine fly ash and nano fly ash has been done with the help of ball milling process. The size of the nano particles are confirmed through scanning electron microscope (SEM) analysis and the characterization with the help of XRD test. By eight hours of continuous ball milling process, gives the nano fly ash of size 10 to 200 nm. The X–ray diffraction (XRD) test result also showed the chemical constituents present in the nano fly ash and ultra fine fly ash. Similarly the SEM analysis provides the morphology of the core specimen and the size of molecules.
