Abstract

In this paper, plasma spray technology was adopted for coating the two different types of cookwares. Two different cooking process were chosen for the experimentation. With varying fuel flow rates from 0.2 Liters per Minute (LPM) to 0.6 LPM, sample was cooked in different coated and uncoated cookwares. Time taken, fuel consumed and variation of surface temperature was noted in both the cookwares. Comparative study of coated and uncoated cookwares was carried out. Results suggested that the coated cookwares enhanced the performance of the cookwares when compared to uncoated cookwares.
