Abstract

Paper describes how Haar wavelet based denoising helps to improve PID controller performance using simulation studies. Different approaches for PID tuning has been considered for an industrial system to improve its performance but when noise enters in an industrial system, the response becomes unstable as the performance of the associated PID controller deteriorates. Haar wavelet based denoising gives the excellent performance in such condition because of its sparsity and multiresolution structure.
