Abstract

ABSTRACTThis paper is devoted to investigations of ferroelectric properties of dimethylammonium metal sulphate hexahydrate DMAMe1-xCrxS (Me=Al, Ga) ferroelectric crystals in vicinity of the ferroelastic-ferroelectric phase transition. In particular, it is shown that the isomorphous substitution of the aluminium ion with chromium noticeably changes the temperature of phase transition and spontaneous polarization in DMAAl1-xCrxS. These changes are explained in terms of clusters sizes and dynamics in the framework of the order-disorder type phase transition mechanism.
