Abstract

Objective To analyze the clinical efficacy and safety of laparoscopic and open gastric wedge resection in the treatment of gastric stromal tumors(GIST). Methods Sixty-four patients with GSIT from August 2015 to March 2014 were divided into control group(n=32) and study group(n=32) according to the different operation methods. The study group underwent laparoscopic gastric wedge resection, the control group was treated by open surgery. And 1 years after surgery, both groups of patients were followed up. The perioperative indicators related to the level of nutritional status indicators(pre albumin, transferrin, albumin) level changes, and statistics of the two groups of complications and disease recurrence rate was compared. Results The study group of hospitalization time, bleeding volume, incision length, postoperative feeding time, anal exhaust time were significantly less than those of the control group, the differences were significant(P 0.05); The prealbumin, transferrin, albumin level had no significant difference between the two groups before operation(P>0.05), the postoperative prealbumin [(0.11±0.04) g/L], transferrin [(0.65±0.29) g/L] in study group were significantly higher than those in the control group [(0.06±0.03), (0.48±0.28) g/L], the differences were significant(P 0.05). Conclusions Laparoscopic gastric wedge resection for gastric stromal tumors is significant, it has small trauma, operation time and with less postoperative functional rehabilitation and can improve the nutritional status after surgery, and a lower incidence of complications, the prognosis is good, it is worthy of promotion. Key words: Laparoscopy; Laparotomy; Wedge resection of stomach; Gastric stromal tumor
